About STOP
STOP is a youth-powered campaign against explicit deepfakes in high school powered by the Center for Gender Equitable AI. Combining policy and education, STOP has authored a framework which provides guidance to school district officials revising AI policy, developed educational posters designed to raise awareness of this vexing issue, and delivered deepfake and AI literacy training that has reached 100+ educational leaders in the state of Oregon.

Say Something: Schools should create clear criteria for a reportable incident, establish diverse channels for incident reporting, and make incident protocols and avenues of reporting clear to students.
Take it Down: Schools should aim to remove offending media within 72 hours of a report.
Offer Support: Schools should provide mental health and legal resources as well as in-school protection to victims of sexually explicit deepfakes.
